Monumental concerto and an orchestral masterpiece
Spokeswoman Fiona Corbett-Clark said: “The concert will feature Elgar’s monumental Violin Concerto, and the orchestra is delighted to welcome Rachel Ellis, co-leader of the HSO, as soloist.
“Rachel has been playing the violin since the age of nine and received her first training at the Kent Junior Music School in Maidstone. She won a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where she regularly played with the RCM chamber music on tours both at home and abroad. Rachel has lived in Horsham for the past 18 years and combines teaching with playing in many local musical ensembles, including the Sussex Piano Trio and Enesqu string quartet.”
