The second heavy snowfall of the year arrived on the afternoon of March 11, which meant that rush hour traffic came to a standstill and many drivers had to leave their cars at the side of the road overnight. St Helens Road, pictured within our gallery, was one of the roads affected heavily during rush hour, with drivers venting their frustration at East Sussex Highways for not gritting the road in advance of the predicted snow.
