A Christmas-crazy family are getting set to transform their home into a winter wonderland - for the ninth year in a row.

The King family have spent weeks installing festive lights and displays on the outside of their home in Cottingham Avenue, Horsham, and now plan to stage the switch-on on Saturday (December 1).

The Kings - Sallyanne and Grahame, along with daughters Carinna and Carmel - aim to raise cash for the children’s charity the Make A Wish Foundation. Last year, their Christmas display raised £2,000 for the charity and this year they are hoping to beat that total.

“It’s a wonderful charity making children’s last wishes come true,” said Carinna.

The family first began their annual Christmas fundraiser after getting a buzz from seeing the look on children’s faces when the illuminations went up.

The lights will be illuminated on December 1 at 4.30pm and will remain on until Saturday December 29. Carinna added: “This year on the lights going on we will be having a little festive get together again with a cake sale, drinks, tombola and hopefully a raffle with some Christmas music.”
