Consultants warn trust about threat to patients
They say evidence supports the case for Worthing Hospital as the major general hospital for West Sussex, and the consultants, with Keep Worthing And Southlands Hospitals campaigners, have written a three-page letter to the PCT non-executive board members as the decision day for the location of the major general hospital looms on Wednesday, June 4.
In it, they say it has been shown that it would be wrong to remove acute services from Worthing and Southlands Hospitals NHS Trust.

Removing acute services from Worthing Hospital will be extremely detrimental and unsafe to the large and, in many cases, vulnerable catchments population that we serve."
The letter highlights significant factors supporting the case for Worthing Hospital to be the major general hospital.
