COUNTY NEWS: Police warning after five-year-old approached by man

Police are warning parents and schoolchildren to stay vigilant after a five-year-old girl was approached by a driver.

Police said officers received a report from a concerned parent after a driver stopped in Brambling Road, Horsham and asked the child if she lived there.

The girl was on one side of the road and her mother was on the opposite side when the dark green old style Toyota Land Cruiser pulled up, officers added.

He drove off as her mother approached.
