A large police presence has been reported in West End Way in Sompting this morning (August 24).

Pictures show at least two vans and three police cars parked along the side of the road.

Officers can be seen holding a helmet, as well as one with an orange battering ram and a crowbar.

Sussex Police has been approached for comment.
