NFU members meet with Mid Sussex MP for rural crime update

On September 25 members discussed tackling rural crime with the MP, and also briefed her on the impact of Covid-19 on agriculture and diversified businesses located on farms.
The meeting took place at Missing Link Brewery, Chiddinglye Estate, West Hoathly, East Grinstead, the NFU said.

Hide AdSussex NFU adviser Romy Jackson added: “The meeting was a useful opportunity to discuss rural crime in the county and highlight the measures NFU members take to protect themselves from criminals.
“Alongside this, farmers are working with Sussex Police to tackle crime and we welcome the new rural crime team in Sussex to help with this. We were also able to discuss the impact of Covid-19 on diversified rural businesses including wedding venues, catering businesses and the events sector in general.”
