Police carried out a search after a car was seen driving erratically in Eastbourne.
Officers said they responded to reports of the vehicle in Victoria Drive at 11.30am on Monday, August 22.
A Sussex Police spokesperson added: “The blue Ford Focus was later found near Willingdon Golf Club, where officers conducted a search for a man believed to be driving it.
"A woman was initially detained and was later released.”
