Heathfield blaze investigation ongoing, says fire service

Crews were called at 23.18pm, on June 18, following reports of a fire at a derelict mill on Station Road, Heathfield.
Eight fire engines attended the scene, tackling the fire with jets and hydrants.

Hide AdOperations were scaled back at the scene at 4.30am this morning.
It is anticipated that crews will return later today to re-inspect the scene for any ‘hotspots’ and damp down the area.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue has announced there will be an update on the suspected cause of the fire once the fire investigation officer has competed their inspection.
