The Lavinia Norfolk Centre has been running as a pilot scheme since the summer and has regularly attracted about fifteen 11 to 18-year-olds, taking part in activities such as cooking, crafts, games and sport, with swimming in the school’s pool.
The £46,500 bid would enable the club to offer a wider range of activities, including residential trips, and also take members from a wider area.
There are currently no other clubs specifically aimed at autistic youngsters in the area.
