Lotto cash bid for mobile skatepark
The district council is bidding for 237,000 in a project dubbed Wealden Big Bus to spend on two units which can each carry two of the three activities designed to appeal to families with children of different ages, abilities and interests.
The aim would be to hire them out for events such as children's parties and village fetes but a much bigger strategy is being developed by the council to raise awareness of the value of play.

The money has already been set aside for Wealden, as long as it meets set conditions.
Those include forming a play partnership with interested stakeholders, developing and adopting a local play strategy and developing a portfolio of projects for submission to the Big Lottery.
