Haywards Heath school’s adaptations to its lockdown lessons
Faye Hatchard, assistant headteacher, said: “Our remote learning provision for students in this latest lockdown has been significantly developed.
“I am amazed at the response from all of the Oathall staff. Everyone has worked really hard to get a good programme up and running from the outset.

Hide Ad“With around 1,100 people logging onto the system daily, it is great to see that the remote learning is going from strength to strength.
“We are able to easily monitor how our students are engaging with their lessons and I am so impressed with the levels of commitment we are seeing.
“It just shows that our young people really want to learn whether at home or in school.”
Staff are emphasising the importance of exercise with students encouraged to squat, run, jump, cycle, walk and lunge every day.

Hide AdIn music, there is an interactive choir and virtual orchestra with more than 60 students taking part.
In science, students have been encouraged to take virtual tours to the Natural History Museum and do experiments at home to see how to turn starch to glucose.
