The Body Shop’s gift to NHS workers at West Sussex Hospitals
The Littlehampton-based ethical beauty company will be giving away more than 255,000 products, including skin and body care items, to critical care, A&E and intensive care unit staff forced to shower at hospitals between long shifts amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Among local hospitals to benefit include Worthing Hospital, St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester and paramedics at the South East Coast Ambulance Service, which covers the whole of Sussex.

“Critical care teams have been working long shifts, with very little downtime, pretty much living on site.
“We hope that by donating self-care treats to hospitals across the country, we can bring a few moments of respite.”
The company was founded by Littlehampton resident Anita Roddick, who opened her first store in Brighton before it expanded worldwide.
