Hide AdDevelopers have redrawn plans for part of the site to increase the total number of new homes due to be built by 13.
The redesigned layout for part of the site would see 40 instead of 27 new properties.
The revised plans were approved by Mid Sussex District Council’s planning committee on Thursday (November 12).
Officers explained how the road layout was largely the same but the increase had been achieved by replacing four and five-bed properties with two and three-bed dwellings.

Hurstpierpoint and Sayers Common Parish Council continued to raise concern about sewage capacity and flooding.
Christopher Phillips (Ind, Copthorne and Worth) said: “It’s good to see developers being more realistic about the sizing of the housing. In my own ward the developers are struggling to sell five-bedroom houses. Maybe we are going back into a period of realism.”
