Sedlescombe set standard
That is the view of Colonel Anthony Kimber who has been playing a key role in forming a Neighbourhood Plan for Rye.
The plans give local communities a greater say in planning issues and prioritising amenities.

Hide AdColonel Kimber said: “I went along to view the public exhibition at Sedlescombe and was very impressed with what I saw.
“ They are way ahead of us with a high level of community interest and a very good plan.
“I will be making recommendations that we adopt some of their practices in Rye.”
The Rye Plan steering group has now launched a web site and is holding a public meeting at Rye College on October 17 at 7pm.
Plans consider housing, work and business, community issues, transport and the environment.
