Sweep of Bognor turns up school truants
On October 14, police officers worked in conjunction with Bognor Regis Community College and Arun District Council's education welfare officer to ensure that any pupils not registered at school were located and the reason for their absence established.
Officers attended the home addresses of absent pupils and where a parent was home, enquiries were made as to why the school had not been informed. Letters were left at addresses where there was no reply.
