Two seriously injured after A272 crash near Midhurst

A passenger in the car, the man who comes from Bordon, was taken to Southampton Hospital neurological unit suffering from what has been described as ‘serious multiple injuries’.
The driver, a 36 year old man from Midhurst is today (Thursday, January 14) reported to be in a ‘stable’ condition.

Hide AdHe was also taken to Southampton hospital’s neurological unit with serious head and neck injuries.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 9pm after reports of a single vehicle collision on the A272 Midhurst to Petersfield road at its junction with the road to Minsted.
A police spokesman said: “A VW Passat had left the road, struck some trees and ended up in the opposite carriageway.”
The road was closed for several hours while an investigation was carried out.
