A woman was serious injured after a car crashed into a laundrette, police have said.

Officers were called to the incident in Sackville Road, in Bexhill, at around 5pm yesterday evening (Friday June 10).

A police spokesman said a woman, who was not in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital.

Another woman, who was driving the vehicle, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, the spokesman added.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101 quoting operation Allington.
