Arun gymnasts shine in regional tournament
In the level five competition for 2001 births, Ellie Pacey started her competition with a well-paced floor routine.
She moved on to the bars, where a strong routine with a very good score of 12.250 gave her fourth place.

Hide AdInspired by her strong bars routine, she put in a lovely graceful beam with another strong score of 12.500 earning her sixth place.
On vault she kept her nerve and put in two good vaults that resulted in equal seventh.
These results meant in the overall competition, the two great scores on beam and bars were enough to lift her into a well-deserved fifth.
On day two it was the turn of Lucy Stephenson-Gill to compete in the new regional five competition for year 2000 births.

Hide AdHer competition started on the beam, where a good but nervy performance with a difficult routine saw her in second place.
Next up was the vault, where two very strong efforts were good enough for first place.
Her superb floor routine was beautiful and polished and was good enough for another second.
Finishing with a flourish, an excellent bars routine saw her placed first again.
Medals were awarded for overall performance and her excellent results put Lucy second for a silver medal.
