Burgess Hill Runners descend on Brighton and Topping leads the way

Brighton was the place to be this weekend as lots of runners descended to the seafront on Sunday for the 10k.

Burgess Hill Runners had a big group running and first home for the club was Jamie Topping (36:53), followed by Alastair Carter (38:52), Jamie Goodhead (39:14), Robert Shalloe (40:03), Ross Wiggins (40:36), Richard Jerome (43:15), Andrew Bishop (45:36), Annette Maynard (47:51), John Palmer (47:07), Jayne White (50;22), Emma Goodhead (50:31), Hugh Stevenage (51:34), Mark Craigs (52:34), Caroline John (52:44), Katia Hannah (53:37), T.D Mati (55:04), Chris Page (55:39), Kim Gow (57:27), Wendy White (57:29), Claire Giles (57:31), David Leen (58:06), Mick Richards (01:00:47), Rich Neale (01:01:54), Karl Richards (01:06:03) and Liz Hayward (01:11:58).

First home was Jane Owen (02:06:20), Simon Lock (02:06:32) and Eileen Adlam (02:52:21).

Up in Norwich the McManus's took on the ' Snetterton Raceway' marathon. Emma Leeson McManus finished in an amazing time of (03:34:47), a PB of 21 minutes. Phil McManus finished in (03:34:48).

On the Saturday Keith Brown and David Leen took on the ' Windsor ' half marathon at Dorney Lake. Keith was first home in (01:58:33), David finished in (02:09:20).
