Hide AdWells said of his new contract, “I’m obviously pleased to finally put pen to paper and get things sorted. I absolutely love the club and I’ve been walking round here for as long as I can remember.
“I’m very proud to represent Sussex and hope I will be able to do so for many years in the future, to bring success to both the club and myself.”
Sussex Captain Ed Joyce said, “It is great news that Luke has decided to stay with Sussex for the foreseeable future. Not many 23 year-olds already have eight first-class centuries to their name.
“There is still so much scope for development and improvement, especially in white-ball cricket. He’s also a local boy and lives and breathes Sussex Cricket and I know our fans will be very happy that he’s decided to stay with us.”
