IT'S A THOUSAND UP FOR MARK
However, Arundel's innings did not get off to the best of starts. Both openers, Alex Iles and Graham Braithwaite were out for ducks. This brought Joel Wiles and Australian Mark Rasmussen to the crease and they shared a 112-run partnership.
Rasmussen smashed 71 not out and, in doing so, passed 1,000 runs for Arundel in all forms of cricket. It was the first time he had struck a league half-century for the club. His 71 came off 56 balls with 11 fours and two sixes. Wiles finished unbeaten on 35.
