Memorable weekend of rugby at Haywards Heath
England v Wales is always an eagerly anticipated encounter and Heath turned the contest into a real event at the club introducing a new giant screen for watching all things rugby with the added draw of gourmet pies from local business the Humble Pie Company, washed down with pints from the bar (pictured).
An edge of the seat international was watched by well over 100 people who cheered on a famous England victory which featured two former Heath Colts Joe Marler and Billy Twelvetrees.

On Saturday Heath welcomed Newick to Whitemans Green looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table and build on their impressive 2015 form which saw them comfortably defeat Shoreham in their last fixture.
Heath tore into Newick from the whistle and gave the opposition no time to settle with aggressive play from the back row creating numerous opportunities for the home side which were clinically taken. So strong were Heath in probably their most comprehensive display of the season that Newick were 26-0 down within 20 minutes. Heath did not ease off and the speed and angles of running of their backs caused the visitors all sorts of problems and the scoreboard to tick over regularly.
There was more of the same in the second half and even playing up the hill made little difference to the attacking verve on display, with barnstorming runs coming from all players 1 through to 15.

A fantastic display from Heath showing the confidence and ambition borne out of a long winning streak.
Special mention to the hatrick of tries for Sam Galbraith who has recently returned to play for the club and also to Heath colt Jack Best who was awarded Man of the Match for another assured performance.
Heath now move on to the rearranged top of the table clash against old foes Midhurst who are in second position which will be played at Whitemans Green next weekend.
