Young fencers scoop Sussex medals for Chichester

Chichester Fencing Club fielded a superb team of young fencers in the Sussex under-12 and under-14 championships in Rottingdean.

In the under-14 girls’ competition, Charlotte Beadle, a regular medallist in the county, was in her usual dynamic form to take the silver medal, missing out on the gold by only a couple of points after a very hard-fought competition.

The under-14 boys’ competition brought another riveting display of foil fencing with Tom Raymond-Wells finishing in a wonderful third place just behind his team-mate Robin Elliott in second.
