Hathaway Christmas Lights: Littlehampton winter wonderland with soundtrack of Christmas classics raising money for local charity Reaching Families

Every year, the Hathaway family turns its house and garden into a magical winter wonderland and this year's display will be raising funds for Littlehampton charity Reaching Families, which supports parents and families of children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Mel Hathaway said: "We have new lights and a bigger display this year and with other families in the area not displaying, we hope ours will be more popular than ever.

"We have been busily building new props and synchronising new songs ready for this year's switch on. This year we have more than 40,000 individual lights, all synchronised to your favourite Christmas tunes and some not so Christmas tunes."

Reaching Families was recommended to Mel by a neighbour who has benefited from its support. The charity provides information, training and peer support to families of children with disabilities, including a support group in Littlehampton.

Brian O'Hagan, director of Reaching Families, said "We were so touched Mel approached us about benefiting from their amazing light show. It's a tough time for charities right now, particularly smaller organisations like ours, so support like this is so incredibly helpful in making sure we can continue to support families."
