Strong winds failed to blow away the high spirits of growers exhibiting the fruits of their labour at a flower and vegetable show.
Blooming lovely floral displays and healthy vegetables lined the display tables in Bosham Village Hall for Bosham, Chidham & District Horticultural Society's annual show.
It was then up to the judges to determine which of the budding growers would win the awards.
Visitors were in awe at the range of exhibits, grown despite the year's diverse weather conditions.
Show Secretary Marie Gilby said: "A steady stream of people arrived to see if all the months of planning, planting and nurturing had paid off.
"Visitors remarked on the high standard of the exhibits and asked how they had been achieved with such diverse weather conditions this year.
"The only answer is 'with careful preparation and continual tender care'."
Refreshments of tea and homemade cakes went down well among exhibitors and visitors. A tombola and raffle was also held.
At the end of the day show manager Bud Cooper presented the awards, and certificates to all youngsters who entered.
