Sussex star visits Park
Hamilton-Brown’s presence came after the Sussex Cricket Board recognised Park’s tremendous efforts to improve their ground by making them the Sussex Showcase Club for the day.
Club chairman Gordon Pells said: “The project started exactly two years ago and since then the ground has been enlarged by 50%. With the help of a Biffaward grant, we have also built new nets costing £38,000.”

They all got to work, putting the finishing touches to the club’s wonderful redeveloped ground. Highlights of the day were Hastings Mayor Cllr Alan Roberts and Sussex County Cricket Club chief executive Zac Toumazi helping with tree planting, while Hamilton-Brown laid turf to complete work on the new nets.
Pells added: “Having considerably enhanced the playing area without spoiling the wonderful views and maintaining the village club atmosphere, we are delighted with the outcome.
“We are already seeing the benefits by being able to strengthen our playing squads and everyone is looking forward to the new season getting under way.”
