Worthing's latest donation helping needy people and animals

HERE it is – the latest consignment of food which has now gone to the Salvation Army to feed the needy and to WADARS for the many animals in their care.
Please keep your gifts of human and pet food pouring in because it would be good to collect another "food mountain" between now and Christmas.
So far this year, the Worthing Advertiser Christmas Appeal has collected two huge consignments for the Salvation Army and WADARS and both organisations want to give readers a big vote of thanks.
The food will be given to people who have fallen on hard times and referred by the many agencies who are being called upon increasingly through the economic downturn.
Pet food is urgently needed, too, because there are many more animals in the care of the animal charity, brought to them because people are finding they can no longer afford to keep their pets. Some are literally being thrown out.
We're still appealing for human food (cans and packets within their consume dates), and also animal food.
You can give cash/cheque donations, too, stating clearly where you want the money to go to, and also marking it for the attention of the editor, Tony Mayes.
You can donate to our offices at Chatsworth Road, Worthing, or Beach Road, Littlehampton, and we have a number of other collection points.
These are the Salvation Army charity shops in South Street, Lancing, and Rowlands Road, Worthing, Willow Green doctor's surgery in Station Road, East Preston, plus Graham Butt estate agent's offices at 88 Woodlands Avenue, Rustington, and 47 Sea Road, East Preston.
Our sincere thanks to all who are helping in this way. Please keep the donations coming in.
